Words of Introduction
How it started
It all started in 2011 with Veesko – a Tumblr blog where we discover some of the best-designed luxury accommodations from around the world.
We have been doing this (and still do) for 6 years, and we like it. A lot. And we’re good at it. So good, that Tumblr featured the blog in many of its sections and recommended it to all its users. This way Veesko ended up to be one of the most popular Tumblr blogs ever created, with more than 380,000 followers.
Don’t worry, Veesko is still a big part of us, and we still share there beautiful hotels daily, but we decided to expand our love for beautiful design to a larger scale. This is why Strada 2.0 was created.
About Strada 2.0
This website, or webstreet, how we like to call it, is the new home for all the hip, wonderful, and best designed addresses out there.
Imagine a wide, neverending street, where all the beautiful addresses reside, from a delightfully rustic chiringuito to a cutting-edge designer hotel. All of them located right here, waiting to be explored by you.
Strada (Italian) means street. I don’t need to tell you what 2.0 means, you already know that. We’re not reinventing the street, but we are creating our own version of it.
What to expect to see
Expect to see the best in architecture and design – stylish hotels and resorts, characterful cafés, dreamy spas, charming eateries, idiosyncratic boutiques, but also lots of bohemian hangouts and inspiring public spaces just waiting to be discovered.
This is the plan, for now. However, the future is still unwritten, so make sure you come back here once in a while, just to make sure you’re not missing anything 😀.
Who are we? – Two restless wanderers (a webmaster & a freelance travel writer) who decided to gather all the cool hotspots we drool about in one website for you to browse and enjoy.
Our mission is to fill our webstreet with the most beautiful addresses in the world. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to marvel at some of humanity’s most fascinating locations. And if you see something you fancy, share it with your friends on social media and let the world know there’s a new webstreet in the WWW.
